Quality & standards

Type-tested, EEHC-approved, ISO 9001:2015.

A fuse is only as good as the test report behind it. Every P&C fuse family is type-tested for all sizes and ratings at an extra-high-voltage laboratory, approved by the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company, and produced under a certified quality management system.

Quality & Standards

Quality management

P&C Group operates a quality management system certified to ISO 9001:2015, covering the design, manufacture and supply of its electrical protection products.

Type testing and utility approval

P&C fuses are fully type-tested for all sizes and ratings at an extra-high-voltage laboratory and hold EEHC approvals — the qualification that allows the products to be used by the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company’s distribution companies and by the OEMs that build switchgear for them. Type-test reports are available to customers and tender committees on request.

The epoxy cast resin post insulators are type-tested at the Extra High Voltage Research Laboratory of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy — certificate IEC-60660-MAN-2024-12/24-025, EHVRL certificate EHVRL-MOE-12/24 — covering the 12 kV and 24 kV types with and without capacitive units.

Voltage terminology

P&C’s 12 kV and 24 kV fuses are medium-voltage products in distribution-network terms. In the IEC standards they are high-voltage current-limiting fuses: IEC 60282-1 covers all AC fuses rated above 1 000 V, and IEC equipment standards draw the line between low and high voltage at 1 kV. “Medium voltage” is an industry term with no fixed IEC limits. This site uses “MV” in headings and the IEC 60282-1 wording on product labels and test documentation — both describe the same products.

Made in Egypt

Every manufactured product on this site is produced at the group’s Egyptian plants — Mubarak Industrial City (Quesna) and the Shebin El-Koom Free Zone — from ceramic fired in-house. Represented products are clearly marked as manufactured by the partner concerned.
